1. Who we are
FarmEquipment Rentals, 133 Clearview Drive, Reinfeld, Manitoba R6W 4A1, Canada, operates the website farmequipmentrentals.online. We handle personal information in accordance with Canadian privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
2. Information we collect
- Account information: your name, farm/business name (optional), email address, and password. Passwords are stored in securely hashed form — we never see or store your actual password.
- Reservation information: the equipment you reserve, rental dates, chosen plan, calculated totals, and reservation status.
- Communications: emails you send us (e.g. to support@ or payments@), including payment confirmations you choose to send.
- Technical information: basic data needed to keep you signed in and remember your preferences (see Cookies & local storage below). We do not run advertising trackers.
3. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and sign you in securely.
- To process, confirm, and manage your equipment reservations, delivery, and payment.
- To respond to your questions and provide customer support.
- To send essential service emails such as email confirmation and password reset links.
- To keep the Site secure, prevent fraud, and improve how it works.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing emails without your consent.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the service providers needed to run the Site, under their own security and privacy commitments:
- Supabase — our database and authentication provider, which stores account and reservation data.
- Email delivery providers — used to send account emails (confirmation and password reset links).
- Web hosting providers — which serve the Site itself.
These providers may store data on servers outside Canada (for example, in the United States or Europe), where it is subject to local laws. We may also disclose information if required by law.
5. Cookies & local storage
- Session storage: keeps you signed in during your visit and remembers small things like whether you've seen the intro animation.
- Local storage: remembers preferences such as your dashboard theme (light/dark) on your own device.
- We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
6. How we protect your information
- All connections to the Site are encrypted (HTTPS/SSL).
- Database access is protected with row-level security — each customer can only access their own reservations and profile.
- Administrative access to customer data is limited to authorized personnel.
7. How long we keep it
We keep account and reservation information for as long as your account is active, and afterwards only as long as needed for legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes, after which it is deleted.
8. Your rights
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and associated data. Contact farmequipmentrentalssupport@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
9. Children
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Significant changes will be highlighted on the Site.
