What's covered, what you're responsible for, and what we may ask of you.
This page explains how insurance works when you rent equipment from FarmEquipment Rentals, 133 Clearview Drive, Reinfeld, Manitoba R6W 4A1, Canada. Because coverage requirements vary by equipment type, rental length, and how the equipment will be used, we confirm the specific insurance details with you when your reservation is confirmed.
For certain rentals, we may ask you to provide proof of insurance before the equipment is released — for example, a certificate of insurance from your farm, business, or equipment policy. Where required, this will be communicated to you during the confirmation of your reservation.
Many farms and contracting businesses already carry insurance that can extend to rented equipment, such as a farm policy, commercial general liability policy, or equipment floater. We recommend checking with your insurance provider about coverage for rented machinery before your rental begins. If you're unsure, your broker can confirm whether your policy covers rented equipment and to what limit.
For some rentals we may offer an optional damage waiver or protection option that can reduce your financial responsibility for accidental damage, subject to its own terms and exclusions (for example, it typically will not cover misuse, neglect, or unsafe operation). Where available, details and cost will be provided at the time of booking.
Insurance and any optional waiver do not remove your responsibility to use the equipment properly and safely. Damage caused by misuse, neglect, operating outside intended use, or ignoring safety instructions remains your responsibility, as described in our Damage Policy.
Insurance requirements depend on your specific rental. For details on what's needed for the equipment you're interested in, contact us at farmequipmentrentalssupport@gmail.com before booking and we'll walk you through it.
